Four 101st Airborne Troopers in Action
King & Country
Normandy invasion figures and vehicles from June 1944
The D-Day series is built around the Normandy landings and the fighting that followed in June 1944. It typically includes Allied troops, landing craft, German defenders, and vehicles tied to the opening of the Western Front in France.
Collector identification guide
Early DD entries illustrate why a figure count and a short listing title are not enough to identify a release. Start with the full code, then establish whether the offer is a group, a vehicle combination or a separately listed figure.
DD001’s 101st Airborne group and DD002’s Rangers/29th Infantry group share a count of four. Count alone cannot distinguish them. Match each pose with the corresponding source image, and record a mixed DD001/DD002 lot as two releases rather than applying the whole bundle price to either code.
DD007 names the GMC truck and military policeman; DD007B names the policeman. Keep the suffix when searching. A truck box beside a loose figure is not proof that the truck is included, and a single-figure price is not a comparable value for the vehicle combination.
DD005 names three paratroopers and a gun, while DD012 names a craft, Navy figures and machine guns. Inventory people, vehicle or weapon, and accessories separately. For a partial example, record the absent components before comparing an apparently cheaper offer with a complete release.
Prepared by Operation ToyBox from release titles and linked dealer reference descriptions, editorial notes updated 2026-09-17. Open each reference for its individual evidence and review date. These are identification comparisons, not hands-on condition reports. Open each record for its source and verify the actual specimen before purchase.

Every card includes the manufacturer, set code, title, recorded retirement status, catalog count, and type. That makes the page useful as a quick identification guide when matching eBay listings, checking old dealer references, or comparing similar sets from the same series.
Collectors usually start here to verify whether a listing belongs to the D-Day line, check the recorded contents, and distinguish catalog status from current availability before moving into live price and listing research.
