What the WS004 catalog records

The catalog records 4 pieces for “German Tank Commanders in Matte.” Check whether that number represents individual figures or a packaged release before assessing completeness.
Collector research
Identifying WS004
Matte and gloss have separate records
The source title identifies WS004 as the matte tank-commanders group; WS004G is the gloss counterpart. Ask for neutral-light photographs of the actual figures and any box label. Avoid resolving the variant from a stock photograph that could be reused for either listing.
Treat production claims as claims
The dealer description makes a very small production-run claim. This catalog has not independently verified factory quantities or surviving examples. Do not turn that statement into a guaranteed rarity rating or price premium; keep the attribution with the claim and compare documented examples.
Because this catalog entry is retired, availability may be intermittent and asking prices can vary substantially between sellers. When comparing WS004 German Tank Commanders in Matte listings, compare the photographed contents with the source record, then compare paint condition, repairs, original packaging, and delivered price.

Read the series identification guideEvidence: catalog titles, recorded counts and reference photographs. These notes are not a hands-on inspection. Catalog counts may describe a packaged set rather than every separate part; confirm the original contents in the source record. Retirement status does not establish rarity or market value.
