Identifying ROM001B
Identify the black-shield variant
The dealer description distinguishes the B version’s black shield from the A version’s red shield. This Thomas Gunn infantry release is separate from King & Country ROM001, The Legate. Check maker, full suffix, shield and lowered pilum together.
Keep edition claims attached to their source
The dealer gives a limited production statement for the B variant. That is a claim about the release, not a count of surviving complete examples. Preserve the original attribution and check the offered specimen’s contents and condition separately.
Because this catalog entry is retired, availability may be intermittent and asking prices can vary substantially between sellers. When comparing ROM001B Front Rank with Pilum Lowered listings, compare the photographed contents with the source record, then compare paint condition, repairs, original packaging, and delivered price.

Read the series identification guideEvidence: catalog titles, recorded counts and reference photographs. These notes are not a hands-on inspection. Catalog counts may describe a packaged set rather than every separate part; confirm the original contents in the source record. Retirement status does not establish rarity or market value.
